This book was written by my late Grandmother. Obviously I am bias, but honestly, it is so good. I couldn't put it down. I laughed out loud, got teary eyed, got angry along with her and saw a tenacious yet tender teacher in the making. A must for teachers, and anyone who has ever been inspired by an educator who believed in them.
Wonderful memoir about growing in, and loving, the teaching profession. I would recmmend it for any beginning and experienced educator.
It was especially easy to read and to pick up and put down because a few pages at a time dealt with a different situation. Always insightful. Always informative. Always very interesting -- making you want to pick the book up again. Written in an unpretentious and straightforward style that added to ease of reading. The double spaced print format was great.
